Co-pay

A co-pay is an amount you’ll pay for a doctor visit, prescription, or when you have a procedure. For example, you may have a $20 co-pay every time you see your primary care physician, a $15 copay for each monthly medication and a $300 copay for an emergency room visit. Deductible is different from the co-pay; you will have to look at the coverage summary to see if you have to meet your deductible first and then you pay the co-pay after the deductible is met.
